It celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusivity throughout our community. It motivates little boys and girls to work hard, dream big, and anything is possible. Today is a Gift also encourages families to cherish the moments and not take this life for granted. This book provides teaching opportunities as it provides exposure to various experiences, deepening empathy, honoring qualities of justice, and learning multiple perspectives and contributions of our multicultural environments. I was born and raised in Southern California. I received a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from California State Dominguez Hills. In 2009, I began my journey of dedicating my life to serving others; I became an ICU Registered Nurse. I saw, listened, and learned about the value of life. I learned early on that regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic status; we are all human beings and we all require the same air to breathe. And that care and compassion was a necessity in life especially in times of need.
Working as a nurse taught me that life can change in an instant and it is important to Be Grateful and Cherish the Moments because…

My daughter loveeeeee this book. The colorful illustrates, the positive, motivational and encouraging words are what every child young and old needs in today’s world. Especially with all that is going on. It’s a must before bed for my daughter and a must have when leaving the house. I would encourage every parents to purchase for their child. My daughter loved this book. I love to see children being empowered and having books and character that look like them.
