An entrepreneur, writer, philanthropist, nurse, wife, mother & unshakable optimist dedicated to inspiring a better you. I was born and raised in Southern California. I received a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from California State Dominguez Hills. In 2009, I began my journey of dedicating my life to serving others; I became an ICU Registered Nurse. I saw, listened, and learned about the value of life. I learned early on that regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic status; we are all human beings and we all require the same air to breathe. And that care and compassion was a necessity in life especially in times of need.
Working as a nurse taught me that life can change in an instant and it is important to Be Grateful and Cherish the Moments because…Today is a Gift!
In 2015, I founded 501c3 nonprofit Highly Favored: A Blessing to Others whose mission is is to help improve the quality of life for all less fortunate individuals by providing them with the essential items needed for daily living.
An organization that has expanded greatly over the years. Beginning in 2015 with just 100 hygiene filled backpacks and 4 volunteers; growing tremendously to 1000 backpacks and 100 volunteers in 2019.
I was honored and privileged to provide a way for people to donate, volunteer, and give back to their communities; a way to Be a Blessing to Others!

Now comes my book inspiration
One of the things I’m often asked is
“What inspired you to write a children’s book?”
Life experiences have taught me to stay humble and spread kindness in the world. The motivation for this book is to teach children and parents about core values in life . We want to influence others to be good people. If we teach them while they are young, we can make this world a better place.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been extremely curious about human potential.
I pondered, what makes a good human being? What values are instilled to them as tiny human beings? When do children change paths from being so sweet, cute and innocent to being disrespectful, a bully, or racist? Where do they learn the behavior? Is it what they see? What they hear? What they are taught? What tools are needed to raise happy, successful, kind, loving and respectful people? Why do some children struggle while others find a way to thrive?
The answer is simple, we must invest time as parents, teachers, and caregivers; we must instill strong core values into our children at an early age. We have the power to shape their future for the better. We must empower them! Studies show that talking to children about important social issues and positive reinforcement of key terms will improve the child’s cognitive abilities.
Today is a Gift! Encourages your little girl or boy to always dream big, never give up, and teaches them they are never to young to make a difference. Each day we have an opportunity to do something magical; a day to learn new things, a day to be kind, a day to help others in need, a day to build a meaningful happy life!
